How do I allow Blackboard pop-ups?
This guide is for PC browsers and each of their settings to allow pop-ups. Blackboard makes use of pop-ups and it is advised to allow them for Blackboard-related websites. Mobile devices will function a bit differently. This guide is not recommended for mobile devices.

Scroll down to find the browser that applies to your computer
Chrome
1. Begin by clicking on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the Chrome browser
2. Select ‘Settings’ from the list
3. Click on ‘Privacy and Security’ from the menu on the left
4. Find ‘Site Settings’ at the top of the Privacy and Security menu and click on it
5. At the bottom of the page, under Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects, click ‘Add’
6. Type in or copy and paste: https://usafsam.blackboard.com:443 and click ‘Add’
7. Finished! You may X out the tab or close the entire browser now

Firefox
1. Begin by clicking the 3 lines in the upper right corner of the Firebox browser
2. Select ‘Settings’ from the list
3. Click on ‘Privacy and Security’ from the menu on the left
4. Scroll down until you see the Permissions heading
5. At the bottom of this section, click the ‘Exceptions’ button next to the Block pop-up windows check box (this box can remain checked if it is)
6. Copy and paste or type in: https://usafsam.blackboard.com into the Address of Website box and click ‘Allow’, and then ‘Save Changes’
7. Finished! You may X out of the tab or close the entire browser now

Safari
1. Begin by opening the Safari browser and navigating to usafsam.blackboard.com
2. Click on ‘Safari’ from the menu bar
3. From this menu choose ‘Preferences’
4. Now click on ‘Websites’ from the menu at the top
5. Click on ‘Pop-up Windows’
6. Under the list of Currently Open Websites, find usafsam.blackboard.com and click on the blue arrows next to it and choose ‘Allow’ from the list.
7. Finished! You may close the Preferences menu and/or exit Safari

1. Begin by clicking on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the Edge browser
2. Select ‘Settings’ from the list
3. Choose ‘Cookies and site permissions’ from the menu on the left
4. Find the All Permissions list and click on ‘Pop-ups and redirects’
5. From the Allow list, choose ‘Add’
6. Copy and paste or type: https://usafsam.blackboard.com:443 into the box and click ‘Add’
7. Finished! You may X out of the tab or close the browser window
