How do I Export / Import a single test to another course?
Why do we do this? The Export/Import test function is the most efficient way to move one, or a couple of tests to another course, compared to copying the entire Tests, Surveys, and Pools section and then removing extra content.
Answer
- Navigate to the course with the original test material to be exported
- Open the Tests, Surveys, and Pools tool, found under Course Tools, and select ‘Tests’
- Find the test to be duplicated in another course, click the drop-down menu next to it and select ‘Export to Local Computer’ and save the file in a location that can be found later.
- Now, navigate to the course where the test is to be duplicated and open up that course's Tests, Surveys, and Pools tool and click on ‘Tests’
- In the Action Bar, select ‘Import Test’ and then ‘Browse Local Files’
- Find where the .ZIP export file is located and click ‘Submit’
- The single test appears!
If the user is concerned about space on the computer, these .ZIP files that were saved, can safely be deleted after completing the Import function and verifying the data transfer.
